The Fionavar Tapestry is, I think, one of my favorite series of all time. I keep meaning to do a reread, but I seem to have lost the first book. Annoying. :\

And I definitely agree with you on those books' ability to make a person cry. I remember specifically the third book making me sob in the airport and I didn't even care. I desperately need to find another copy of that first book so I can first reread it and then shove the series at everyone I know who might share my love. ^^
