Summary: When it's all over, Squall goes to the usual place, just like always, to meet Seifer.
Notes: As I said before, feeling my way back into a) fanfic and b) this fandom. So this'd be more along the lines of a doodle than a polished work of art, if it were fanart.


"Didn't think you'd come here."

Squall doesn't turn to look. "You're late, Seifer."

"I didn't think you'd be here," Seifer says, again. Squall listens to him move: his steps on the stone, the sound of him drawing Hyperion from its sheath. "We haven't been here since before..."

A shrug. "We always come here."

"Squall..."

Wordless, Squall draws Lionheart and turns to face him. "Nothing's changed, Seifer."

Seifer meets his eyes. "You don't mean that."

"You're wasting time," Squall says. The corner of Seifer's mouth pulls into a smirk. He moves without warning -- and Squall parries the blow.

No, nothing's changed.

Ooh, I like it and I like the thought of Seifer trying to reintegrate into Balamb. Squall, I can see as the person who would know Seifer the best (since they really are so similar dammit) and know the best way to get him to stop faffing about and just be Seifer again.

They really are ridiculously similar. If their roles were reversed, how different would the game have actually been...?

And yes, Squall, Raijin and Fujin, or possibly Rinoa.
